Completing all design and fitout work from concept to launch, Ferrier & Co collaborated with Fast Eddie’s Garage to bring the Arbour Nail Lounge & Bar to life.
Named after the canopy of green tendrils that hang over the bar, Arbour is a salon tucked away in New Farm’s Brunswick St. We worked with the client on store concept, layout and interiors, complementing this botanical theme with solid timber, an elegant palette and soft textured furnishings.
Selected for its rich, natural colour, walnut features throughout the space. We used the versatile timber for the salon’s “pedicure platform”, display shelving, side tables and low stools, as well as a custom vanity with marble sink and brass tapware.
Stretching the length of the salon, the main bar features a solid walnut top, a beautiful brushed brass front and walnut skirting. Matching shelving was built from walnut and matte black powdercoated steel, and stocked with a selection of top-shelf drops.
Just like a good manicure (or man-icure for the gents), the delight was in the detail. Textiles were thoughtfully selected to add colour and warmth, with bar stools featuring upholstered leather seats. Customised cushions were crafted from brown leather, mallard velvet and mustard velvet, complementing the lounges we selected.
